About the Principal
Dr. Yogita Sharma comes with a rich experience of 15 years in the field of education. With Science and Mathsas her core subjects, her career spans over a considerable period in various capacities with many milestones to his credit.
After completing herB..Sc (Chemistry and Botany) from HemwatiNandanBahuguna, University,Sri Nagar,( A central University) in 2000she completed herPost Graduation M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry)in 2002and Doctorate in Chemistry from DAV (PG) College, Dehradun (HemwatiNandanBahuguna, University,Sri Nagar, A central University) in 2007.She completed her Bachelors in Education (B.Ed.) from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi (A Central University) and is also acquired an M.EdDegree in Education from University of Jammu.
Born into the family of an Educationist’s, Dr. YogitaSharma has imbibed love for the nation, respect for fellow beings, and empowering people around, very early in life.
Growing up with all these virtues, it’s not a surprise that she chose teaching as her profession to reach out to the society and contribute towards education which is meaningful.
A staunch propagator of inclusive education, she has opened the doors to many children who are differently abled and is striving to bring them to the mainstream education.
She began her teaching career with an enriching experience inresidential institutions of national repute such as Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun and JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya. Further pursuing her professional career in teaching , she served on various positions like Head of the Department(Applied Sciences) and Dean academics at various Engineering colleges and Universities. Broadening her horizons not only in the national arena, she has diverse international exposure of paper publication in research Journals of repute, publication of books and chapters of a wide range in her credit. She has guided various research scholars for Ph.D in Chemistry as a Research Supervisor for award of Doctorate of Philosophy while serving as Associate Professor at GuruKashi University, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda.
In May 2019 she joined as a Principal with DeewanToddar Mall Public School, Kakra, Bhawanigarh and doing endless efforts for the betterment of the rural youth of India.
As an educationist, she believes in empowering the facilitators and creating a lineage which would benefit the future of our country. A visionary by nature, she is in the process of mentoring and guiding not only in the school that she heads, but also in the places she goes as a pedagogue.
With a childlike zeal and the depth of a philosopher, she has been a role model mentor to many.
